A Long Reply Twitter Tool Reviewed

Posted in Social Media Marketing

I don't have anything major to add today, so I thought I would add a post about another great Twitter Tool I found. Basically, as you know Twitter has a 140 character limitation for its tweets or posts or whatever you want to call them. For the most part this is no big issue. In fact it is usually more than enough with all the years of instant messaging creating a language all its own that you may shorten words and phrases.

However, sometimes that isn't enough either and you end up either leaving out half of what you wante to say in the reply tweet, or you end up having to send a series of tweets to respond to the original tweet. This can not only get confusing when you try to follow the conversation on Twitter, but it also can be very annoying because your tweets overload the recipients Twitter Feed.

Well I found the perfect solution to this problem. There is a website called a.longreply.com that you can use to submit what I like to call a "Super Tweet". Basically there is no character limitation so it can be as long or as short as you need it to be.

Once you have submitted your "super tweet" the website creates a URL for you to link to that "Super Tweet". You can then use this URL to post on Twitter as a link to the reply. You can even use TwitPwr, Cligs, TinyURL, etc. to link to the "Super Tweet" with no problems. It will still work in every case.

In my opinion this is one of the most powerful tools available for Twitter. While micro-blogging is great, it does have its downsides. This tool remedies one of those downsides. If you want to start using this to link to "long replies" on Twitter, then just go to http://a.longreply.com.
